Moving on Up

2 days until the big move - I of course celebrated by getting mucho drunk on friday night with my workmate. She can so handle her liquor better than me. Embarrassing! I do remember crashing someone's engagement party at a pub. Whoops! I think I was excited about the balloons.

So as my punishment we packed the rest of the weekend.....and also saw Argo (loved!).

It's only just over a week now until I move to Adelaide. I have the house all sorted (city pad!!! Wooooohoooo!). The job is sorted. Now to get myself sorted.

Mission Achieved

So the weekend in Adelaide turned into a mission to Find Me A House....and I did! I applied for one on Friday, got my heart broken yesterday when the owner turned me down because of my cats...and then the lovely real estate agent convinced him to relent! So I will be living in a little bluestone cottage in the heart of Adelaide.With an original 1950s kitchen and bathroom (no more dishwasher - sob!) :)

And a macaroon store just around the corner - dangerous!

Fashions in a Field....

This year marks the first time I have gotten involved in Melbourne Cup and I must admit it has been fun. Course it helped that I went with an awesome bunch of people to Derby Day, that I won $300, and that it lightened the mood at work yesterday. Of course I was the only person wearing a hat....
