Slithering Snakes

Our two newest additions to the family, Isis and Osiris, are now eating well at 12 weeks old. They are such pretty snakes - being albino they will become white with yellow stripes as they get older. At the moment they are more caramel coloured.

Countdown

Only two weeks from tomorrow and I will be in the US! Feeling like I am going to miss The Boy so much though.

It's been busy - I tried indoor rock climbing for the first time. It was really embarrassing - I am phobic about heights and had a meltdown halfway up and burst into tears. So my goal is to just go a little higher each time.

I saw a couple more Fringe shows. Big Band Burlesque was as amazing as it was last year, really makes me want to get back into it (after america!). And Limbo - simply fantastic. We were in the front row, and ended up narrowly missing a walking stick which was accidentally flung into the crowd. It just made me long to be more bendy than I am! Of course afterwards we went to the Fringe Club and drank more wine - I recall saying 'I'm not even tipsy, for some reason this alcohol is not affecting me'. Lols. It certainly was affecting me all of the next day when I could barely get out of bed.

Getting in the Act

So far we have seen two Fringe Festival shows: Alex Williamson and Theatresports.

Alex Williamson was funny - although the show ran quite short, and some of the jokes just pushed over the edge into tastelessness for me. There's funny, and then there is just that line where it goes too. The songs were the best part of the show.

Tonight we are headed off to see Big Band Burlesque, and then tomorrow night on to see Limbo in the garden. I have heard amazing things about it, so I am really looking forward to it.

I also went and got more of my tattoo completed - this time the tail of the peacock.

Ouch

Life on the Fringe

It's been so busy lately - work is ramping up, and my trip to the US is in 3 and a bit weeks. I have no idea how I will get all of it done before then.

I managed to miss the BDO due to food poisoning, and had to sell my laneway ticket due to work, so I am getting excited about Soundwave and Future Music. The Fringe Festival has started too - I was in the parade for Bazinga Burlesque, which was a lot of fun (after obsessively watching the weather after our torrential rains). Add to that getting a wee bit drunk at the Cellar Door Wine Festival, and going to see Theatresports hungover yesterday, and it makes a pretty big weekend!

Too Hot for Ducks

It's been sweltering here in Radelaide. I just want to take a bath in some ice. And lay down for a while. After a 4 day case of food poisoning that I thought would never end, I am finally on the mend. I wouldn't recommend it!

Lots of trip planning taking place for the US trip, the Penang trip and the HK trip.
