Flipping Out

What a boring weekend - I definitely don't like staying home. Perhaps I am a nomad at heart after all? I did take myself to see the Expendable 2 in honour of the anniversary of Dad's death (8 years!), since he was a huge arnie fan. Not enough Arnie though, too much stallone.

I did manage to clean the kitchen and bathroom...and then cleaned the kitchen again after I SPILLED PORRIDGE ALL OVER MY RECIPE BOOKS. Sigh. Yuck. Looked like vomit. I had to throw a few out as they were too badly damaged.

In honour of my friends in Adelaide running the City to Bay, I ran the inaugral City To Bogan - 12km run into the heart of Wodonga and back. I also tried Cross fit, and did 7 days of exercise last week! Yay me!

Owl are you?

Ok, bad title, bad pun. I couldn't come up with anything else owl-related!

Had a very strenuous session at boxing last night - got paired up with a tall man, so I ended up having to hold the pads for him over my head. My forearms and shoulders are killing me today!

The VC and Chancellor are here today, so my mandate was to look professional. And really, owls say 'I am professional, work at a university and take the getting of wisdom seriously', don't they??

My trainer made me do my session last night with a weight vest on. For about 5 minutes I felt like the member of a SWAT team. And then...argh, struggle town.

I am back but I am hating it.Going home for a weekend reminds me how much I miss Adelaide, and how much I am sad here in Albury. I miss my friends soooooo much!.

Did a little shopping (Zara and Forever New), and ate out tasty meals (Lemongrass and The Ivy). Did some tacky dancing (the Stag) and some non tacky dancing (Jive).

Sparkle Motion

Tonight is the night - packing for Adelaide. My friend is throwing a girl's night for me, and the theme is sequins. Not sure what to wear....also have to keep my suitcase under 15 kilos. Whoops!

I was all set to take some proper photos this morning, then yet again I ran out of time. My brain is clearly elsewhere (Adelaide already). So much so I took the wrong exit on the freeway this morning and got lost in Thurgoona. And no one wants to get lost in Thurgoona.
