More purchases...
Mummy dearest
After a whirlwind weekend in Melbourne, my mother has come to visit me in Wagga. Which is lovely.

On the breadline
So, we make an offer on a house today. The thought scares me a bit, mainly because I am committing to buying two houses (which is a lot of debt!), and I am not looking forward to a couple of lean years cutting back on shopping and travel (no vietnam holiday this xmas:( ). But the house is wonderful - so much potential, and the most amazing original features. The owners have done some awful paintwork!

Sunshine on a cloudy day
My new Asos yellow satchel arrived...and it is definitely love;)
My shopping ban is not working, so I think I might give myself a $35 budget per week to spend instead. I need to be able to buy one cheap item per week (or save for a couple of weeks for something better). Not sure on the exact amount though....

Shopping Ban broken...sigh
To bed, to sleep, to dream
After all the travel, I am just so tired now I want to lay down and sleep. Sadly, I cannot. Tonight I am running a workshop so I won't be home til at least 8:30pm. Which for me is close to bed time. Sigh. Plus - first assignment due in a week, and since I am in Canberra and Melbourne next week, no time to do it except this weekend.

It ain't easy...this green thing
Shoes and noodles
Who needs food when you can have shoes? (kidding!). But I did manage to make my weekly purchase out of my food budget.
Sadly, my ipad has gone by the wayside - all the money I had saved has gone on vet bills. $1700 in the past month (eep!). Still, my kitty means more to me than any crappy electronic device. And you never know - Xmas is not that far away:)
We looked at a few houses on Saturday - some beautiful old homes. Needless to say, there were many arguments along the way. The Boy fell in love with the first one we saw (I did too, but I am trying to be completely objective). Fingers crossed it can all be worked into the finances!

Twisted and turned
I am yearning at the moment to return home to Adelaide for a visit - it's been 6 months and I am ready to hang with my girlfriends again. I am feeling very isolated here, especially with the Boy gone all week.
But the good news is that we are thinking about buying a house here, which will be wonderful. I am so over renting. So many lovely houses here to buy. Although this means I have to work even harder on making friends here so I actually have someone to hang out with on a weeknight!
